Refund policy

RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

Right of Withdrawal In accordance with European legislation (Directive 2011/83/EU) and the French Consumer Code, you have a period of 14 days from the receipt of your order to exercise your right of withdrawal.

Strict Return Conditions To be accepted, any return must strictly comply with the following conditions:

  • The item must be returned in its original condition, unworn, unwashed, undamaged, and with all its original tags attached
  • Items may be tried on only, and must not be worn for an occasion or an event
  • The item must be returned in its original packaging
  • Any item showing signs of use (perfume, makeup, deformation, snags, stains) will be refused and sent back to the customer at their own expense

Anti-Fraud Warning Caftan Paris applies a strict anti-fraud policy. Each item is photographed and filmed in detail before shipment and upon receipt of returns. Any return of an item that has clearly been worn at an event (wedding, evening party, ceremony, etc.) will be automatically detected and refused. In this case, the item will be returned to the customer at their own expense, and no refund will be granted. Caftan Paris reserves the right to report any case of proven fraud to the competent authorities.

Special Case — Jewelry For hygiene reasons, unsealed or worn earrings and jewelry are not accepted for return, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the Consumer Code. These items are permanently excluded from the right of withdrawal once their protective seal has been removed.

Maintenance and Customer Liability Each item is accompanied by care and washing instructions that must be strictly followed. Caftan Paris cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from non-compliance with these instructions (fading, shrinkage, deterioration of beads or embroidery). No return or refund will be accepted in this case.

Return Procedure

  1. Contact us at contact@caftanparis.com within 14 days of receipt, indicating your order number and the reason for the return
  2. Wait for our confirmation before shipping anything — any unauthorized return will be refused
  3. Ship the item carefully packed to the provided address

Return shipping costs are entirely the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a shipping service with tracking and insurance, as Caftan Paris cannot be held liable for packages lost or damaged during return transit.

Refunds Upon receipt and verification of the item (within 48 hours), the refund will be processed within 14 days via the payment method used when placing the order, provided that all the above conditions are met.

Non-Refundable Items The following situations exclude any right to a refund:

  • Item worn at an event
  • Item damaged due to non-compliance with care instructions
  • Unsealed or worn jewelry
  • Item returned late or without prior authorization
  • Item returned incomplete (missing tags, missing original packaging)
