Moroccan takchitas
About the collection
A two-piece outfit
The takchita, sometimes spelled tekchita, layers a long dress and a short jacket, brought together at the waist by a belt. Our takchitas pair a silk-effect crepe dress with a woven brocade or embroidered jacket, in pieces designed in Paris and made in our workshops in Fes.
For the bride, for the guest
The takchita suits the henna night as well as the wedding evening. The bride often chooses it to change silhouette between two outfits, and finds all her pieces among our bridal kaftans; the guest finds in it an outfit more formal than a kaftan, alongside our guest kaftans.
Takchita or kimono
The kimono takes up the two-piece principle in a looser cut; our kimonos are presented here alongside the takchitas. To compare the takchita and the kaftan, our guide kaftan or takchita details their differences.
What is a takchita?
A festive Moroccan outfit in two pieces: a long dress and a short jacket worn over it, held by a belt.
Takchita or kaftan for a wedding?
The kaftan is a single piece; the takchita, in two pieces, gives a more formal silhouette. Many brides wear both over the course of the evening.
Which size should I choose?
Choose the size that matches the larger of your bust or hip measurements. The size guide explains how to take them.
