About the collection

The wedding guest kaftan

Being invited to a Moroccan wedding means choosing an outfit that accompanies the celebration without taking the bride’s place. Our guest kaftans are designed in Paris and made in our workshops in Fes, in silk-effect crepe, velvet or organza, with embroidery, beaded braid and belts that define the waist. Each piece can be worn from the henna night to the evening.

Kaftan, takchita or kimono

The kaftan is a long one-piece dress, held by a belt. The takchita pairs a dress with a short jacket, here in woven brocade, for a more formal silhouette. The kimono takes up this play of two pieces in a looser cut. Our guide kaftan or takchita details their differences, and our full range of Moroccan kaftans brings all the pieces together.

Choosing your outfit for the moment

For the henna night, more prominent embroidery is often chosen; for the evening, deeper fabrics such as velvet. Our pieces come in sizes XS to 5XL depending on the model, and the size guide helps you find yours.

Can a guest wear white?

White and ivory remain traditionally reserved for the bride. For a guest, a deeper shade is preferred.

What is the difference between a kaftan and a takchita?

The kaftan is a single piece; the takchita layers a dress and a short jacket. Our guide kaftan or takchita compares them in detail.

Which size should I choose?

Choose the size that matches the larger of your bust or hip measurements. The size guide explains how to take them.
